  • Bitcoin Futures Show Cautious Bullish Tilt: Bitcoin derivatives markets are showing a mild bullish bias as prices hover around $73,000, with taker volume (24 hours), which tracks aggressive market orders hitting the order book, leaning about 51.9% to the long side versus 48.1% short, equivalent to $30.8bn in buy orders against $28.6bn in sells across major exchanges. This skew is broadly consistent across Binance, OKX, and Bybit, each showing long positioning slightly above the ratio of shorts. The recent rebound has also triggered more short liquidations than longs, indicating that part of the move reflects short covering rather than a fresh wave of leveraged risk-taking. BTC sentiment, derived from derivatives market indicators (like long/short positioning and funding), showing 49% bullish vs 31% bearish, again implying traders overall lean bullish. The overall structure points to a cautiously constructive derivatives backdrop, where further upside is likely to depend more on sustained spot demand and ETF inflows than on an aggressive build‑up in futures exposure. Combined with various other signals as recently indicated by Tagus <> Bytes, such as multi‑month lows in Bitcoin reserves on centralised exchanges, a positive Coinbase premium that points to renewed U.S. institutional demand, and a sharp jump in Binance BTCUSDT perpetual open interest (the largest daily increase since mid‑2025), the setup suggests an upside‑skewed range trade in which dips are increasingly being bought, but where positioning is not yet stretched enough to preclude further volatility spikes.
