BlackRock’s BITA - Transforming Bitcoin Volatility into Institutional Income: BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA), due to be launch today, represents the next evolution of digital asset investing, moving beyond simple spot Bitcoin exposure toward systematic cash-flow generation, as outlined previously (see Tagus <> Bytes: June 15, 2026). By deploying a covered-call strategy on its Bitcoin-linked exposure, the fund seeks to convert Bitcoin’s historically high volatility into a recurring income stream with a target of +15% annual yield while retaining around 70% participation in its underlying capital appreciation potential. The structure systematically harvests option premiums. After accounting for a 0.65% management fee, the vehicle establishes a net distributable income stream designed to reliably hit its double-digit annualised target from an asset class that traditionally generates no yield.
