Record RWA Tokenisation Quintuples On-Chain Markets to $34Bn: The market for tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) has hit a fresh record over $34bn, more than five times the amount from $6.4bn at the start of 2025. This structural migration spans everything from sovereign debt to equities and commodities. Ethereum anchors the ecosystem, hosting around 60% of all RWA value dominated by institutions like BlackRock’s BUIDL fund and Ondo Finance. While tokenised U.S. Treasuries command the lion’s share of the market at around $15bn in assets under management, tokenised equities have emerged as the fastest-growing velocity sector. This momentum culminated on May 19 when daily trading volume for tokenised equities tapped an all-time high of $3.57bn, driven by intense 24/7 liquidity on platforms like Binance and Hyperliquid.
